By installing the Intersafe browser extension or using the Intersafe website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
Intersafe is a browser extension focused entirely on web browsing protection. Its sole purpose is to keep you safe online. It provides:
Intersafe does not collect, sell, or share your browsing data. URL checking happens locally on your device. In rare cases where a partial match is found against a known threat, an anonymous hash prefix (not the URL itself) may be sent to Google for confirmation. If you create an account, your allowed domains list is synced to our server in encrypted form (AES-256-GCM). We cannot read the contents of this data. The extension also sends an anonymous signal when a threat is blocked, with no user or device information attached, to verify core functionality. Your privacy is not our business model. Protection is.
Intersafe is a security tool, not a guarantee. While we work to detect as many threats as possible, no security software can catch everything. Intersafe is provided as an additional layer of protection alongside your own good judgment and other security tools.
Intersafe offers a free plan with full core protection. Paid plans (Pro and Family) add multi-device sync, extended security checkup with one-click safer defaults, and other features. Current pricing and plan details are available on our pricing page.
All payments for Intersafe paid plans are processed by Polar, our Merchant of Record. Polar handles billing, sales tax, and payment processing on our behalf. By purchasing a paid plan, you agree to Polar's Terms of Service.
Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy and Polar's terms. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and your access to paid features will continue until the end of your current billing period.
Creating an account is optional. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You can use email/password or Google sign-in.
You agree not to:
Intersafe, including its code, design, logo, and name, is owned by Intersafe. You are granted a personal, non-transferable license to use the extension as intended.
Intersafe is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the extension, including but not limited to data loss, security breaches, or system damage. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 (USD), whichever is greater.
Intersafe's security checkup, including any flagging of potentially malicious browser extensions, relies in part on third-party threat data and is provided on a best-effort basis. It may occasionally flag a legitimate extension, and any decision to remove an extension is yours to confirm. Intersafe is not liable for actions you take based on these recommendations.
You can stop using Intersafe at any time by uninstalling the extension and deleting your account from your Account Settings. Except in cases of serious or illegal misuse, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to fix the issue before suspending or terminating your account.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Israel, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Intersafe shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of Tel Aviv, Israel. Nothing in this clause prevents you from bringing a claim in the courts of your country of residence if required by applicable consumer protection law.
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify account holders by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you may delete your account and stop using the extension before the effective date. Changes will also be posted on this page with an updated date.
