Intersafe is now available on the Chrome Web Store

After being vulnerable to one of the fastest growing scam attacks online today, we built Intersafe, and today we're happy to share that the extension is officially available on the Chrome Web Store.

Reviewed and approved by Google. As a security extension, Intersafe was subject to an in-depth review by Google before it could be published, and it passed. We're fully compliant with the latest Chrome Web Store Program Policies.

Cybersecurity for everyday people needs a different playbook in 2026

The old rules, don't open weird attachments, don't click sketchy links, don't visit shady sites, aren't enough anymore. The scam that's spreading fastest right now doesn't need you to download anything at all. It needs you to copy something, paste it, and hit enter. Because you're the one who technically runs it, a lot of antivirus tools never even get a chance to react.

This isn't a fringe problem. Verizon's 2026 Data Breach Investigations Report, the industry's benchmark study, found the human element, things like social engineering and being tricked into an unsafe action, was a factor in 62% of all breaches. And the specific technique behind it, known in the security world as ClickFix, has been growing fast: researchers clocked a 517% surge in ClickFix attacks in just the first half of 2025 alone.

What makes it dangerous is how normal it looks. A page tells you to "verify you're human" or "fix a connection error." You've clicked through steps like that a hundred times without thinking. This one just happens to hand your machine to someone else. And it's not limited to shady corners of the internet either, in May 2026, attackers compromised over 700 real education and tech websites and used them to serve fake verification pages to people who had every reason to trust those sites.

What Intersafe does

Intersafe is built to browse safely without you having to think about it. Three things, running quietly in the background:

Clipboard protection stops malicious scripts from hijacking what's on your clipboard, whether that's a dangerous command or something more targeted like a login token or API key, before it ever gets pasted.

Browsing protection checks every site you visit against a local threat database of up to a million known threats, and watches for the patterns social engineering scams tend to follow. Nothing about where you browse ever leaves your device. Nothing is sent to a server, ever.

Security checkup reviews your installed extensions and browser settings, flags risky permissions, and checks everything against a live, continuously updated list of known malicious extensions, so you can remove anything dangerous in one click.

It's live

Intersafe is available now on the Chrome Web Store and works on any Chromium browser: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, and Comet.

Installing it is free, and it stays that way for the core protection, including live threat updates. No account required. If you want protection across more devices or want to cover your whole household, Pro ($2.49/mo) and Family ($4.99/mo) plans are there too, but nobody gets weaker protection for staying on the free tier.

Get it on the Chrome Web Store or check out intersafe.app.

Intersafe detects and blocks ClickFix, ClearFake, and similar attacks automatically. Free, private, and built for exactly this.
